Establishment and Initial Publication Commentate
Journal of Communication was first published in June 2020, under the leadership of Dr. Rino F. Boer as Editor-in-Chief. This journal is managed by the Postgraduate Program (PGP) of LSPR Institute of Communication and Business. Due to a technical issue with the Open Journal System (OJS) website, Volume 1, Number 1 was published online in December 2020. The electronic ISSN was obtained from LIPI at the following year.

Editorial Leadership Transitions
Over the years, Commentate has undergone several changes in its editorial management to ensure continuous improvement and quality enhancement.

These change was made as part of the journal's ongoing efforts to strengthen its editorial governance and academic contributions in the field of communication studies.
