Due to a cyberattack involving hacking and online gambling malware, the OJS platform for journals under the LSPR Institute of Communication and Business was disrupted from September to December 2025. The incident resulted in the loss of some submission data from March 2025 onward.

Authors are kindly requested to check their accounts and submissions. If any data is missing, please create a new account and resubmit your manuscript.

Communicare: Journal of Communication Studies, commonly called Communicare, is a journal in the field of Communication Studies with  ISSN 2089-5739 (print) and E-ISSN 2502-2091 (online). Communicare: Journal of Communication Studies, published by Institut Komunikasi dan Bisnis LSPR, has been a member of Asosiasi Pengelola Jurnal Ilmu Komunikasi Indonesia (APJIKI) since February 14, 2017. On August 8, 2019, Communicare: Journal of Communication Studies signed an MoU with the Indonesian Association of Communication Scholars (ISKI), marking the start of their collaboration.

The name Communicare is derived from the Latin "Communicare," meaning "sharing," "receiving," and "joining." Communicare sought to serve as a bridge for human communication, share views on communication science, and be open and caring. Communicare was first published in print in 2013, was registered and issued a print ISSN in 2015, and began transitioning to digital editions and an E-ISSN in 2016. Over time, Communicare Journal underwent several changes and adjustments. For more details, please access our Journal History.

Publishing Schedule

Communicare: Journal of Communication Studies is published twice a year, every June and December.

Communicare focused on Communication Studies. The scope of the Journal (but not limited to other issues in the area of Communication Sciences) is on the following matters:

Publication Ethics & Peer Review Process

Communicare: Journal of Communication Studies is subject to COPE's Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors. For details, please access the Publication Ethics section.

Every article submitted to the Journal of Communicare will undergo a series of review processes. The process used is double-blind and peer-reviewed. This process ensures that neither the author nor the reviewer knows the other's identity. This is done to maintain objectivity in the ongoing review process.

  • The review process is conducted after the article undergoes initial editing.
  • During the review process, reviewers are encouraged to assess the article's originality, objectivity, methodology, scientific impact, conclusions, and references.
  • This prompts the editor to proceed to the next step: accept, revise, or reject the article.

Article manuscripts will be rejected if:

  • It does not align with the journal's scope.
  • It does not follow the author guidelines and is unwilling to make adjustments.
  • More than 20% of the content is plagiarized.
  • It contains content that promotes cigarettes or cigarette companies.

Open Access Policy

Communicare: Journal of Communication Studies supports the broadest possible open access to knowledge by making research results published in this journal accessible to all and usable as widely as possible. Open access policy
